Does Collaborative MFT accept insurance?

CMFT is an in-network provider with most Aetna commercial and student plans. For other insurers, we provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement with providers such as Oxford, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Behavioral Health.

What are the therapy fees at Collaborative MFT?

Session fees range from $100 to $300 per 45-minute session depending on the therapist's level. A sliding fee scale is available through our Affordable Therapy program, with fees starting at $100 per session based on financial need.

Do you offer teletherapy or virtual sessions?

Yes. CMFT currently offers all therapy sessions via secure video teletherapy. We serve clients throughout New York and New Jersey.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We offer couples therapy, individual therapy, premarital counseling, perinatal and postpartum therapy, and therapy for men. Our approach integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), IFS-informed parts work, somatic regulation, and trauma-informed care.

Is couples therapy covered by insurance?

Most insurance companies do not reimburse for couples therapy directly, but may cover conjoint sessions when one partner has a diagnosable mental health condition establishing medical necessity. We can submit claims to Aetna or provide a superbill for other insurers.
